Your information is the treasure. The room should be yours.

The situation

Your photos, documents, and other important files may sit in an account or cloud you do not control. You may want more say over where those files live.

What Freeish does

The treasure room would give your information a home on storage you control. The point is not merely another place to upload files; it is having a meaningful choice about who holds them.

How it actually works

The intended direction is a home-cloud or NAS-style storage service on hardware you control. Freeish would provide a way to reach and manage that storage as part of the broader product. Important details, including access, sharing, encryption, and backup behavior, still need to be settled and verified. Owning the storage device alone would not protect files from drive failure; a real release would need to explain restoration.

Can I use this now, and what would I need?

No. Freeish does not currently provide file storage or file backup. There is no treasure-room installation to begin yet.
