The situation
A computer can stop receiving updates or lose an important protection without looking broken. You may not find out until you need it.
What Freeish does
Freeish shows which of your computers needs attention and what it found. You can look at that computer before deciding whether to make a change.
How it actually works
A small program installed on each enrolled computer checks things such as installed software, update status, firewall state, and disk encryption. It reports the relevant results to your Freeish server. Freeish compares those reports with the rules you set and shows the result on the computer's page. For supported problems, an administrator can choose an action and see whether it succeeded. Seeing a problem does not automatically authorize Freeish to change the computer.
Can I use this now, and what would I need?
Yes, on supported computers. You need a working Freeish server and must enroll each computer you want to see. The view is currently centered on individual devices; it is not yet a single live threat picture of everything you own.
